WW1
DEAR NIKO,
Sorry but you are going to war. You need a woollen tunic, breeches, a puttees, 100 rounds of ammunition, a rifle, a bayonet, a water bottle, a trench tool, kindling for a fire, food rations and a pack.
You will be living in the trenches. They are muddy and if you put your head up out of them you will get shot.
Have a safe war.
Nga mihi,
Izaiah

my hero
My Hero
My hero is my Uncle Steve. He is a fireman. If there was a fire he gets the hose and hoses the house down. He is brave because when he talks in front of a lot of people he doesn’t cry. I think he is amazing.
